We all are attached to our favorite songs, either through the emotions, it conveys or either through the phases of the song that are connected to our hearts. We try to know more and more about the artist who made that song and how he made it, and by doing so sometimes we find that our favorite songs were made with a lot of obstacles in it’s way to production, there might be chances when the song could not have been made or stopped at a certain point. All this is hidden behind the curtains of art and beauty in the song.

The song ‘KYUN YAADON MEIN’ by MITRAZ is a fabulous piece of art by Anmol and Prateek of MITRAZ. The song itself shows the amount of work that has been done on it from the very start to the end. The song, soon after its release received a tremendous amount of applause from the audience and became a massive hit within some time. The song can attract listeners over and over towards itself. Many people might have given it the title of their ‘favorite song’ by now.

Still, no one knows about the obstacles and the hurdles that came during the process of building the song ‘KYUN YAADON MEIN.’ We know many things about the song, Who sang it? When was it released? The genre of the song, the emotions of the song, the chords used in the song, etc. But none of us knows what happened during the process of making the song.

Prateek of MITRAZ stated in his interview that “ The song production was going perfectly, but the hurdles never ended, and after completion of every phase of the song, a problem generated and solving them was the toughest job we faced.”

Prateek said that the first problem that occurred in the process of making the song ‘KYUN YAADON MEIN’ occurred while creating the melody on which the lyrics were to be composed. The melody which suited their statistics was made in a few days. They were happy about it and began to produce the song they had written over the melody.

The primary issue they faced while the composition of the lyrics over the tune was that the lyrics did not fit with the melody in certain phases, and cutting and replacing specific words changed the meaning of the entire sentences and phrases. After spending a couple of hours searching the remedy for the problem, Anmol and Prateek thought of speeding up the melody instead of changing the lyrics so that the emotions of the sentences remained the same.

The second issue, as stated by Anmol of MITRAZ, took place while building the chord progression. The chord progression is the soul of a song, and the use of a proper chord progression can improvise the emotions of a song. Chords add much more to connect with the listeners and change every line in the lyrics into a passion. The use of inappropriate chords changes everything. Hence when the trial vocals were recorded over the melody build earlier, Prateek began to build the chords for the song, which could elevate the emotions of their song. After trying all the chord progression (which they assumed could suit the song), they found not one chord progression, which could be called even satisfied.

After about one week, Prateek came up with the idea of a few chords, which none of them thought could suit the song. Prateek said, “We were surprised at once, and it was all we wanted.” The chords were built on a minor scale and suited the song in all ways.

Many other obstacles such as the choice of proper instruments, recording the vocals, Writing the melody for the alap also troubled them for quite a bit, but for them, Prateek stated that “The toughest and smallest obstacles were handled with patience and strategy, they were not disadvantageous but only brought more revisions for our song.”

Both Prateek and Anmol made much effort in making the song ‘KYUN YAADON MEIN.’ Their patience, experience, hard work, and dedication for this song is seen through the positive response of the audience.
