On our 75th Independence Day, we look back into the days of severe sacrifice and struggle put by our independence fighters.
Their relentless vigor and unmatched courage led to the country’s independence but even after seven decades of independence, our soldiers at the borders continue to tackle infiltrators and acts of terrorism to keep our motherland safe.
While this year’s celebration will not see the usual congregation of people at the Red Fort, schools, and other public places, we can seek inspiration from patriotic numbers.
On the occasion of Republic Day on January 26 or Independence Day on August 15, our country will resonate with patriotic Indian songs on the speakers. Whether in public places, residential areas, homes, or now on mobile phones nationwide. Of course, there are Indian diasporas from all over the world.
These songs filled us with the joy of celebrating this ancestral holy land. It is related to a common sense of belonging. They also emphasized our responsibility to the country as children or citizens of the country.
Here are some patriotic songs that all Indians take great pride in cherishing
These are some best of patriotic songs that had a very long journey. Some of these songs are in trend on Independence day and Republic day. Hope that you will love this song’s list.

After World War II, it was banned in India as “seditious”, which was subsequently lifted in August 1947. The song has since become a patriotic song in India. It is currently the regimental quick march of the Indian Army.

Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo (सुनो गौर से दुनिया वालों)
Indians are proving this 15-year-old song right today. Yes, Indians are venturing into comedy and gaining accolades for sports, but the buck doesn’t stop there.
Indian population is part of the global market, even outside of unconventional fields. Today, it is very common to find someone from our country making it big in mainstream fields such as Software Engineering and Digital Marketing.

Maa Tujhe Salaam A R Rahman’s private album Vande Mataram:
This was the music maestro’s first non-film, private album. He created waves simply by presenting India’s favorite Vande Mataram in a modern avatar. The music video, directed by the acclaimed Bharat Bala, also was very popular.
Kuch Kariya –
Chak De! India title song: When we saw this song for the first time, we thought it was just a catchy number with a long-haired Shahrukh and his swagger in a hockey stadium. But when we saw the movie, the entire nation including us went berserk and realized the importance of this theme song in the film. Ever since India wins a match or a game in any sport, Kuch Kariya is sure to be played!
Sandese Aate Hain (संदेसे आते हैं)
This track from the movie Border is a musical feast! It takes you on a journey to the Front Line, where a soldier reads letters sent from lovers, mothers, and childhood friends, asking for his return. A vibe of longingness and optimism surrounds the song, mirroring the lives of a soldier on the battlefield, and his family back home.

This beautiful poem was written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and soon became the country’s National Song. Later, it was rendered by ace musicians like Lata Mangeshkar and AR Rahman. While both songs originate from the same poem, each has a different tone.
Lata Mangeshkar’s powerful voice can shake your core and leave you teary. While Rahman’s version, Maa Tujhe Salaam, is optimistic, pumping, and boosts you like nothing else!
Singer: Lata Mangeshkar and AR Rahman
